Overall Apparel is built on the belief that there is always a better way.

A better way to feel. A better way to move. A better way to train. Above all and overall, a better way to be. 

The inspiration behind Overall began with an observation made by Jean Hu, a physiotherapist who works with some of the most disciplined individuals: bodybuilders.

THE WHY

Jean watched her clients confidently step onto competition stages exuding power and elegance, but when her clients stepped off the competition stage and onto the stage of their day-to-day, she noticed a shift in how they carried themselves. The confidence that defined her clients seemed to dim, and the fluidity with how they moved became less assured. The culprit, Jean noticed, wasn’t their mindset or their personal achievements. It was their clothing.

THE WHO

For men who sculpted their bodies to perfection, finding proper fitting shirts was an ongoing struggle. Their perfect physiques were hidden behind imperfect clothes, hampering their ability to walk through life with the same confidence they displayed on stage. Watching this disconnect sparked an idea—an idea that would bridge the gap between functionality and style.

THE HOW

Drawing on her understanding of biomechanics and her passion for helping people move better, Jean set out to design shirts that empowers bodybuilders to feel as confident in their everyday attire as they did in their competition poses. Thus, Overall Apparel was born—a brand dedicated to creating tailored shirts for men who demand perfection in every aspect of their lives, including their wardrobe.

THE SHIRTS

The shirts are crafted with innovative four-way stretch fabrics and meticulously designed with a wide cut in the shoulders and a narrow taper at the waist to enhance the polished, timeless, and inspiring presence of these men, so they feel empowered to walk through the stage of life with the same assurance they bring to stage of competition.
